| Service Projects |
The Beta Gamma Chapter is dedicated to helping the community. Its The sisterhood volunteers with a variety of organizations. Weekly service projects include: Adopt-A-Highway A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital Emmaus House Newark Manor Penguin Pickup PTA Babysitting TOP Soccer Tutoring Tutoring for Kids Soup Kitchen Young Mentor's Circle It also raises money to support a different philanthropy each semester. Philanthropies chosen in the past include Alex's Lemonade Stand, The American Cancer Society, Suicide Prevention, and The Hero Campaign. Thanks to a proposal by Ashley Gerard, a sophomore who pledged Alpha Psi during Fall 2006, we are currently raising money for the Delaware Foundation Reaching Citizens with Cognitive Disabilities (DFRC). The sisterhood graciously voted to support the DFRC for the entire school year! During the Fall 2007 semester, the Beta Gamma Chapter raised almost $5000! Keep up the good work! |
